Diverse Women of Canada: Stories of Resilience

Part of my daily work involves conceptualisation of new projects and initiatives benefiting the community. As the Manager of Program Design, I am always on a look out for different funding streams to start new projects. This is a grant we received from the Canadian Heritage. One of my colleagues and I met for many weeks and submitted the proposal. Fast forward, weeks later, we put together the Diverse Women of Canada: Stories of Resilience, an event that celebrated the voices of 20 women of colour, their life journeys challenged by systematic inequalities but also reflective of their resilience, of powerful stories of courage and strength.
